Joint Session of Yerevan and Dilijan Refugee Councils Held in Dilijan

On June 27, a joint meeting of the Yerevan and Dilijan Refugee Community Councils was held in Dilijan, during which the main challenges facing displaced persons and the ways to address them were discussed.

Discussions focused on housing, citizenship procedures, employment and sustainable livelihood opportunities, access to education and healthcare, and the barriers to effective community integration. Participants shared their experiences, outlined the most pressing issues in their communities, and put forward practical recommendations for addressing them.

The session concluded with a summary of the key issues and the collection of recommendations that will inform future advocacy efforts and support continued dialogue with state institutions and international partners.

The "Human Rights for and with Refugees" project is implemented with the support of the European Union by the Democracy Development Foundation, the Estonian Refugee Council, the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Women, and Commit Global. The project focuses on empowering refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh by providing essential knowledge about their rights, addressing vulnerabilities, and improving access to user-friendly resources on their entitlements and opportunities.
