The "Union for the Protection of the Interests and Rights of the People of Artsakh" (hereinafter referred to as the Artsakh Union) makes every effort to respect and protect the privacy of the personal data of its members, users, benefactors, and visitors. This Privacy Policy governs the use of your personal information by the Artsakh Union website https://artsakhunion.org/ (hereinafter referred to as the Site).
The Artsakh Union operates the Website in accordance with the Privacy Policy presented below. By using the Site, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
All matters not regulated by the privacy policy are regulated in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia. The privacy policy is defined in Armenian but may be translated and published in other languages as well. In the case of conflict between the Armenian and other language versions, the Armenian version shall prevail.

We take all possible legal, organizational, and technical measures to protect your personal data from illegal or accidental loss, access, use, recording, destruction, modification, blocking, duplication, provision, distribution, and other unlawful actions, and we are committed to maintaining Our privacy of personal data provided or disclosed.
3. WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
You can use the Site without providing personal data. We do not require visitors to the Website to register or create a personal page to view the Website, and we do not monitor or collect any personally identifiable information about you from simple browsing. However, if you choose to join, donate, subscribe, or contact us, we collect the information you provide, including:
- Membership applications: your status, first and last name, year of birth, email address, phone number, country/region of residence, and other information requested in the membership form.
- Newsletter subscriptions: your name, surname, email address, and phone number.
- Donations: your first and last name, email address, phone number, country/region, and payment details, processed on our behalf by our payment service provider.
- Direct contact: any information you choose to include when you email or call us.
- Automatically, through cookies: technical information about your visit, as described in the Cookies section below.
4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We collect your personal information to make the use of the Site convenient and secure. You hereby agree that We may use Your personal data exclusively for the following purposes: Normal operation of the website, ensuring the most efficient provision of materials, taking into account the peculiarities of the equipment and browser used by you; Discussion of the application for membership of the Artsakh Union and, in case of its approval, management of communication arising from the membership.՝

We only process your personal data where we have a valid legal basis to do so. Depending on the purpose, this is:
- Consent - for sending you our newsletter and other updates you have subscribed to. You may withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge, as described in the “Your rights” section below, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before your withdrawal.
- Performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request prior to entering into one - for processing your membership application and administering your membership, and for processing donations.
- Legitimate interest - for responding to your inquiries and operating and securing the Website, where our interest in doing so does not override your rights and freedoms.
- Legal obligation - where we are required to retain certain records (for example, financial records relating to donations) under the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
6. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with the following categories of recipients, only to the extent necessary for the purposes described above:
- Our website hosting and IT infrastructure providers.
- Our email delivery and mailing list provider(s), for sending newsletters and communications you have subscribed to.
- Payment service provider(s), for processing donations you make through the Site.
- Providers of security and verification tools embedded in the Site (for example, Google reCAPTCHA), which may process limited technical data to protect the Site from abuse.
- Public authorities, where disclosure is required by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
We require our service providers to protect your data and to process it only on our instructions.
7. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- Membership data is kept for the duration of your membership and for a reasonable period afterward to maintain our organizational records.
- Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
- Donation and related financial records are kept for the period required by the accounting and tax legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
Where we no longer need your personal data, we delete or anonymize it.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
You can contact the Artsakh Union at any time with a request to obtain information about your personal data available to us, to have them destroyed, to limit their processing, or to make changes or corrections to them.
In order to exercise the specified rights, or if you have any complaints regarding the collection and use of your personal data by the Artsakh Union, you can submit your complaint through the contact information specified in the ՝“Contact Us”section.
You can also limit the ways in which we contact you and use your information by:

In particular, and subject to the conditions set out in applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Request restriction of the processing of your data.
- Object to the processing of your data, including for direct marketing purposes.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable, machine-readable format (“data portability”), where applicable.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent personal data protection authority - in Armenia, the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Ministry of Justice, or, if you are located in the EU/EEA, the data protection authority of your country of residence.
10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Some of our service providers - such as Google, which provides the reCAPTCHA verification used on parts of the Site - may process data outside of Armenia, including in the European Union and the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to benefit from an adequate level of protection, in line with applicable data protection legislation.
11. EXTERNAL LINKS
The website may contain links to other websites operated by third parties. We have no influence on the content, functionality, etc., of such websites. We are not responsible for the content of such websites or the actions of their operators. We are not responsible for the protection and privacy of information you provide to other websites that are not governed by this Privacy Policy.

Artsakh Union reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and without prior notice. In each individual case, the version of the Privacy Policy that is published at the time of your visit to the Website is valid and applicable.
